This hike was one Dylan took alone. Dog Mountain is a popular hiking spot due to gorgeous views of the Gorge on the way to the summit, as well as beautiful wildlflowers in the Spring and Summer. There are lower viewpoint options that can make this hike only moderately difficult,  but a trip to the summit will take several hours of fairly steep hiking. This trip was taken in January, so rather than wildflowers the upper mountain was covered in snow; just as pretty in my opinion but not ideal for a casual hiker.
