Oregon Badlands Wilderness

Posted by on January 6, 2015

Bend is known for its proximity to many amazing hikes. A lesser known area to hike is the Oregon Badlands Wilderness area, which is just 20 minutes East of downtown Bend. This wilderness area provides miles and miles of various hikes on mostly level ground. There are a couple of rock outcroppings where you can see nice views of the Cascade Mountains. The area is full of juniper trees, sage brush, and typical desert wildlife. During the winter, this is a manageable hike because of the flat terrain. Look out for rabbit trails in the snow!  IMG_5182Read full information post
