Shore Acres State Park is a beautiful area to visit along the Southern Oregon coast. The Park has been established on an old mansion property, near a cliff overlooking the ocean. The backyard is now a large and vibrant botanical garden, with gravel paths for visitors to walk through. There is also an impressive light display each winter in the gardens.

Closer towards the ocean, there is an observation building and viewing area to watch the waves crash onto the cliffs. There are also many small footpaths along the top of the cliffs to get even more views. In fact, all along the Cape Arago Hwy area, you can find numerous locations to stop and take a short hike to beautiful ocean viewpoints. The area is especially enjoyable in the summer.

You can also expect to see seals, sea lions, various birds, and even whales! See the Shore Acres State Park website for more information including hours and parking rates.
