The Oregon Garden is a botanical garden in Silverton, OR, about 14 miles East of Salem. The garden covers 80 acres and includes an amazing variety of flowers, trees, vegetables, and more. The Garden is a popular location for weddings, includes a lodge and restaurant, and also a Frank Llyod Wright Home, which is open for tours.

The Garden has a children’s garden area with a Hobbit like home, a model train, and an array of “crazy” plants that will keep everyone entertained. The vegetable area is really interesting, especially the planter box demonstrations. And of course, the flowers are amazing – everything you can imagine. There are greenhouse for tropical plants, a rose garden, and succulent areas.

The Garden is a tourist attraction and so gets fairly crowded in the peak of summer. Admission is $11 for adults but be on the look out for the 2-1 Groupon deal that is often running. Admission also gets you free admission to the guided tour buses that run throughout the park, in order to see the most in a short amount of time (recommended for guest with limited mobility). A map of the paths is available here, courtesy of Oregon Garden.
